Method N°1 normal games with Salt Stone
normal games (temperature over 0°C - Moral 95%)
8 months' old: first games
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : 100% cleanliness
# temperature over 0°C (to put foal in pasture during night)
ATTENTION : If you don't have all that, the program will not work...
The foal is underfed on purpose at the beginning of the program, to avoid overweight, because he is overfed on the last game day, to finish the day with 20% energy !
NOTICE : This method works also for morale=94%,
if you have put your foal to bed previous day in pasture,
with at least Temperature=6°C
Put your foal to bed in pasture during the games !
This method has been perfected by CraXoR on howrse
If you put your foal to bed when temperature is under 0°C, his morale next day might be too low, even to do winter games.
=> No games when temperature is under 0°C
Summary of playing durations
# 8 months : 8h
# 10 months : 9h
# 1 year : 9h
# 1 year 2 months : 10h
# 1 year 4 months : 11h
# 1 year 6 months : 13h
-----------------------------------
Total : 60 h playing
GP gain is : 0.02 for 1h
=> total GP gain with games = 1.2
Using Black Orchid, will allow to play more one day, if for example your horse is in an EC with no carrots, or meadows not 100% clean, but at the end of games, the GP gain will not exceed the limit of 1.2.

1h Short trotting ride /1h Short trotting ride / Stroking /Turnip
Method N°2 winter games with Salt Stone
Winter games (temperature between 0°C and 10°C)
You need to use Winter games program only when your foal has slept in pasture, with Temperature between 0°C and 10°C, the night before (usually it's in winter, that's why we call it winter games) because his morale is under 95% in the morning.
If temperature is under 0°C, put your foal to bed in box, otherwise his morale next day will be too low to do winter games. Then, next day, you can go on with the
"Slept in Box Method N°4"
Requirements: What you need before starting program :
# temperature over 0°C (to put foal in pasture during night)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : 100% cleanliness
It's possible to play with the foal the same number of hours
with morale = 88% and above, when he wakes up in the morning, if you follow the program.
Of course, the foal always sleeps in the pasture!!
In winter, when the foal sleeps in pasture, without blanket,
he loses morale => he wakes up with morale lower than 95%, that's why you can't use the normal game program.
If morale is lower than 100% when you play with the foal, he spends more energy.
I'm making a table showing how morale next morning is affected by the temperatures > > >
(not finished yet...)
This method is completely new !
It has been created and recently tested by CraXoR on howrse.
It is based on the foal's morale in the morning, when he wakes up, not on the temperature.
If your foal's morale is 95% in the morning,
and energy = 94%, you can use normal games.
If the temperature is over 0°C during the day,
you can put your foal to bed in pasture for the night.
If the temperature is under 0°C during the day,
look at your foal's morale and energy when he wakes up, and choose the adapted program :
- energy = 89% and morale = 95% => Method N°4
- energy = 94% and morale 88% to 94% => Method N°2
Put your foal to bed in box for the night.

30 mn Pasture / 10h playing / stroke (1 time) / 1h playing / stroke (1 time) / Turnip
Ending day at 24:00, with 19-20% energy
=> if morale is less than 90%, foal ends the day with less than 19% energy
(for morale = 88%, foal ends the day with 16% energy - tested by CraXoR)
=>After this last game day, put your foal to bed in the box if Temperature is lower than 6°C,
next day you'll have to raise morale, energy and health, but the foal will be in better condition!
if ends day with energy = 16%, next day :
energy = 63%, health = 98%, morale = 84% - slept in box
energy = 67%, health = 98%, morale = 74% - slept in pasture with 0°C
If after games, foal has lost morale and energy, and he's too fat, usually don't happen in winter:
Don't feed him on his 1 year 8 months day.
Raise his morale and health first of all
Don't train or do rides untill health = 100%.
* 1 YEAR 8 MONTHS : for horse with gallop in 3 best skills
(example for energy = 63%, health = 98%, morale = 84%)
6h Pasture / Drinking / Turnip / Feeding (7 p + 110 ounce granule) / Salt stone / Grooming /
1h30 long ride galloping / 2h box / 1h short ride galloping / 1h short ride galloping /
Stroking X2 / Carrot
N.B. health has raised to 100% with pasture, before starting rides

Method N°3 without Salt Stone
normal games (temperature over 0°C)
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 88% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# carrots
# pasture very clean (100% cleanliness)
Before starting the games, choose a good E.C. to board the foal.
Check that the E.C. has carrots,
and that the cleanliness of the meadows is 100% >
On the foal page, you will have the qualification of :
uncluttered for the Pasture >
(Very important to get enough energy when you will put the foal in pasture)
# turnips
# temperature over 0°C (to put foal in pasture during night
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy, and avoid over-weight (NO FEEDING at 1 year).
This method has been perfected by CraXoR on howrse

Method N°4 slept in box
winter games (temperature below 0°C)
In WINTER, if temperature is below 0°C, you can't do games if you put your foal in pasture for the night (he loses too much morale) => Put the foal in the box for the night !
If your foal has slept in box,
he will wake up with 89% energy instead of 94%
Requirements : What you need in the morning:
# Morale = 95% (at least)
# energy = 89% when foal wakes up
# carrot
# pasture very clean (100% cleanliness) or method don't work
# salt stone
# turnip
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy
This method has been created by CraXoR on howrse
BEWARE : It's a special method !
If you want to do the entire program, it can only be used in WINTER, don't feed the foal when he is 6 months (only pasture)..
(The foal is overfed during the program, he can lose health before the end of games)
Can be used as a rescue method for one day, for other seasons (SPRING, AUTUMN, SUMMER).
The method has not been tested on ponies...

After games, horse has lost morale, health and energy
No rides or training if health not 100%
Method N°5 with WOY
normal games (temperature over 10°C)
Giving Water Of Youth to a foal before 2 years is not necessary :
He will earn less GP from the games, and you will spend more aging points (or waste double time) to age him.
Water Of Youth is interesting if you want your foal to become a champion in skill amout, because it allows him to do twice as much lessons (and untill he is 25, lessons give him more skills).
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
# salt stone
# carrots
# turnips
# pasture very clean : cleanliness = 100%
# temperature over 10°C (to put foal in pasture during night)
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy
Some days, there is no feeding with the feeding box, because the foal has been overfed the previous day, and he doesn't need more energy to end the day.
Put your foal to bed in pasture during the games !

Method N°6 without Carrots
normal games (temperature over 10°C)
Requirements : What you need before starting program :
# pasture very clean (100% cleanliness)
Before starting the games, check that in the E.C. the cleanliness of the meadows is 100% >
On the foal page, you will have the qualification of :
uncluttered for the Pasture >
(Very important to get enough energy when you will put the foal in pasture)
# salt stone
# turnips
# temperature over 10°C (to put foal in pasture during night
# Morale = 95% (at least in the morning)
# energy = 94% when foal wakes up
Respect the amount of forage given with the feeding box,
it has been calculated with precision to give enough energy.
At one year and 6 months the foal ends with 16-17% energy, it's impossible to end the day with 20% energy, and make 13h playing. But next day, you can do a special care program to raise health and morale before starting training.
