Some Tips or hints Empty Some Tips or hints

Ok, so I notice people don't draw every hair of the mane and tail. It's totally cool on some horses but sometimes it's better to draw them all one by one. But here is a MUCH easier way to do it.

    Step one:

    Draw the outline:

    Step two:

Fill in with your selected color

    Step three:

    Shade the tail

    Step four:

Go threw and ad some strands. Remember: GO WITH THE GRAIN. It looks funky when it looks like scribbles-depending. (Sometimes it looks pretty cool.)

Now lets work on our Manes. Lets go with a fiery red shall we?

Now I'm just gonna show you my steps:

My horse looks crappy in Paint, you should see the real deal in COREL, makes the pixels all...OK. xD

So anyone have a request? Like need me to show them how I did something on one of me pictures?

Great tutorial. Not dorkish at all. I never thought of doing the shading before I start drawing in the strands always went back over with the dodge burn tool. That would be easier though. You use a tablet don't you I am having some serious tablet envy at the moment. :lol!:
Maybe we should suggest a tutorial section to Robbin. I know lots of people myself included who search long and hard for a good tutorial to help their coat making.

Haha ya I got a Tablet. You should ask for one for your birthday. They seriously you SO much. That's why it's a tid bit easier-I'm guessing- to my shading and stuff. But seriously you guys are GREAT. Some of you-guessing, again- don't have tablets and look how GOOD you are! It's insane! xD

Tutorial section....that would be awesome! I'm totally hyper right now!

You just plug in the tablet and you're ready to go. It works for EVERYTHING really. Except..I'm not sure about games. Some of the games work and some my mouse wont show up when I use the pen. But ya It should work for you're art stuff, since I'm sure that's what it was made for xD
